Evano Everyday hero
the context

As part of the UX Design Institute diploma programme, I was tasked with designing a responsive banking experience for a fictional challenger brand entering a competitive market. The objective was to create a modern financial platform that worked seamlessly across desktop, tablet, and mobile while reflecting values of clarity, simplicity, and trust. The product needed to simplify complex financial information and make everyday banking feel effortless and intuitive.

The Challenge

Financial products often struggle with information overload and poor hierarchy, leading to cognitive strain for users. The core challenge was to present sensitive financial data in a way that felt structured, secure, and easy to navigate. The interface had to balance professionalism with approachability, ensuring users could quickly understand their account status, transactions, and money transfers without friction or confusion.

The Approach

I began with competitor analysis and user research to identify key behavioural patterns and user priorities. The product architecture was structured around essential banking actions such as account overview, payments, and transaction tracking. Low-fidelity wireframes focused on clarity and flow, while the visual design system prioritised strong hierarchy, accessible typography, and consistent spacing across breakpoints. The result was a scalable, multi-device interface built around simplicity and confidence.

The Outcome

The final solution delivered a responsive digital banking experience that reduces cognitive load while maintaining clarity and trust. Key financial actions were streamlined, navigation was simplified, and the interface remained consistent across devices. The project reinforced the importance of system thinking, hierarchy, and restraint when designing for sensitive financial environments.
